Business Plan Writing Services: Investor, Lender and Visa Plans

Reviewed by Muhammad Tayyab Shabbir · Last updated 30 October 2026

Business Plan Writing Services from Business Plan Firm: a written plan with cited market research and a financial model, for US founders raising from investors, a bank, the SBA or USDA, or filing for a visa. Your reader's rule sets the content: SBA's loan regulation lists "a business plan, when applicable" (13 CFR 120.191), and under SOP 50 10 8.1 a Standard 7(a) lender's credit memorandum must address repayment from the cash flow of the business.

What you get

What's included in the plan?

As a document: a standalone executive summary, company and ownership description, market analysis with sources named in the text, a competitor section naming who you actually lose customers to, operations covering site, staffing, suppliers and licensing, go-to-market with the acquisition math behind it, management bios, a use-of-funds table that reconciles to your ask, and financial statements with the assumptions spelled out underneath. The model is a working file, not a picture of one: if a reviewer asks what happens when the ramp slips a quarter, the spreadsheet answers.

Every package is a fixed price agreed on your call. Not sure which fits? We will tell you straight.

Which package you need is decided by your reader, not your budget. Essential suits one well-defined application with simple numbers. Standard adds the full model and the competitor and TAM/SAM/SOM work, which turn a description into an argument. Premium adds the matching deck for an equity raise. Borrowing from an SBA lender? Our SBA business plan writing services start at $1,000 and are organized around SOP 50 10 8.1.

Your input

What do you have to give us?

The economics

Prices, costs, and what a customer is worth. Estimates are fine; blanks are not.

The ask

What you are raising or borrowing, from whom, and what it buys. Send any lender checklist.

The context

Site or lease terms, licenses, suppliers, staffing, anything already signed. Rough notes are enough.

The deadline

The real one, and who is waiting on it. It changes what we do first.

Your side of it is the call, one questionnaire, one email thread, one read of the draft. We do the research, the competitor work and the modeling. We will not invent your operating assumptions: the rent you were quoted, the wage you will pay, the conversion rate you have seen. Those are what a reviewer presses on, so they must be yours.

How it works

How does the process work?

Work begins when the agreed deposit or full fee is received, and timelines assume you supply the information we request. Premium: priority 5-day turnaround.

Day 0

Strategy call

30 minutes with a senior consultant. Scope, requirements and a fixed quote on the call.

Days 1 to 7

Research & model

Cited market research and the financial model your package includes, built from your numbers.

Days 7 to 10

First draft

Full document drafted and designed in-house, reviewed line by line before you see it.

After the draft

Revisions

One round on Essential, unlimited within the agreed scope on Standard and Premium.

Revisions

How do revisions work?

Essential includes one round; Standard and Premium are unlimited within the agreed scope: scope meaning the business we agreed to write about on the call. Rewording, re-cutting financials, adding a section your lender asked for late: all included. A second location or a different revenue model is a different plan, requoted openly.

Primary sources

Who actually requires a business plan?

For the readers in this table, three federal texts name a business plan you must submit: an SBA International Trade loan for export markets, a standalone EB-5 petition without ten hires yet or one investing in a troubled business (a regional center files its own for each project), and a Regulation Crowdfunding offering statement, which must describe it. SBA's and USDA's loan rules list one with a condition. For the rest, the plan is how you meet your reader's test.

Your readerWhat the text saysGo deeper
SBA 7(a) or 504 loan13 CFR 120.191 lists "a business plan, when applicable" in a loan application [1]. SOP 50 10 8.1 uses the words business plan six times, none a general requirement for a 7(a) or 504 borrower; your lender may still ask. A Standard 7(a) credit memorandum "must address the Applicant’s ability and likelihood to repay the loan from the cash flow of the business"; on a non-delegated loan, SBA "will make the final determination as to the eligibility and creditworthiness of the Applicant" [2].Does the SBA require a business plan?
SBA International Trade loan, export markets"the Applicant must submit an export business plan, including both a projection and narrative rationale" [2].SBA business plan writing services

It may be omitted for a refinance-only loan [3].USDA B&I loan requirements
Bank loanThe OCC's safety and soundness guidelines (12 CFR 30, Appendix A) do not say business plan. Loan documentation should "Identify the purpose of a loan and the source of repayment, and assess the ability of the borrower to repay" [4].Bank loan business plans
EB-5 investorA standalone investor without ten qualifying employees already hired files, under 8 CFR 204.6(j)(4)(i)(B), "a comprehensive business plan" showing the need for them, "including approximate dates, within the next two years". For a troubled business, (j)(4)(ii) says "a comprehensive business plan shall be submitted in support of the petition". For a regional center investment, a designated regional center "must submit a comprehensive business plan with its application for approval of an investment in a commercial enterprise" (Form I-956F), DHS states, citing INA 203(b)(5), in a proposal of 2 July 2026 that would also "remove and reserve 8 CFR 204.6 and create a new Subpart D"; the proposal was not final on 30 October 2026 [5].EB-5 business plans
E-2 or L-1For a standard E-2 or an L-1, not named in the regulation paragraphs we read; 8 CFR 214.2 names one only for the CNMI-only E-2 investor, paragraph (e)(23)(vi). USCIS lists a "Detailed business plan or executive summary" as E-2 evidence you may submit, and asks for "a copy of a business plan or executive summary" for an L-1A new office [6].Visa business plans E-2 visa business plans
Investors, Regulation DNo specified information for sales only to accredited investors; one non-accredited purchaser in a Rule 506(b) round changes that [7].Investor plans, below

Investor business plan writer

What does an investor-ready business plan need?

An investor-ready plan carries a market case with cited sources, a use of funds that reconciles to the ask, a model with its assumptions written down, and the team. What the issuer must furnish depends on who buys. Rule 502(b)(1):

If the issuer sells securities under § 230.506(b) to any purchaser that is not an accredited investor, the issuer shall furnish the information specified in paragraph (b)(2) of this section to such purchaser a reasonable time prior to sale. The issuer is not required to furnish the specified information to purchasers when it sells securities under § 230.504, or to any accredited investor.

For a company that does not file SEC reports, that information is the issuer's disclosure, to the extent material; for offerings up to $20,000,000 it includes "The financial statement information required by paragraph (b) of Part F/S of Form 1-A". The purchaser must also get "a brief description in writing of any material written information concerning the offering that has been provided by the issuer to any accredited investor but not previously delivered to such unaccredited purchaser" (Rule 502(b)(2)(iv)).

Worked example. A company that does not file SEC reports raises $2,000,000 under Rule 506(b) from 24 accredited investors and one former colleague who is not accredited but meets the test below. Without the colleague, Rule 502(b) specifies nothing to furnish. With the colleague, the issuer furnishes the (b)(2) information a reasonable time before that sale, including paragraph (b) financial statements ($2,000,000 is under $20,000,000), plus the written description, which in our reading covers any plan, model or deck the 24 received and the colleague did not.

Under Rule 506(b)(2), each purchaser who is not accredited, alone or with a purchaser representative, must have "such knowledge and experience in financial and business matters that he is capable of evaluating the merits and risks of the prospective investment", or the issuer must reasonably believe so [9].

That disclosure is the issuer's. Our plan does not replace it, and a projection model is not a financial statement. For Rules 506(b) and 506(c) and Form D, see Pitch Deck Services.

General information, not securities advice; confirm the disclosure with your securities counsel.

What goes wrong

What do we check every draft for?

Four problems we check before you see the draft.

Revenue appears without a mechanism. A curve that triples in year two is not an argument. Capacity, footfall, list size, conversion, churn, something has to produce the number, visibly, in the model.

The costs are too clean. No ramp, no seasonality, no working capital gap, no owner's compensation, no contingency. Straight-line costs read as a forecast nobody stress-tested.

The market section is about the industry, not about you. National market size says nothing about whether your unit fills. What earns attention is the slice you can reach, named local competitors, and sources cited in the text.

The ask does not reconcile. Use of funds must sum to what you requested, and the model must draw and service that money.

Your options

Freelancer, agency or software?

Marketplace business plan writers fit when you can brief the document tightly and want to pick a writer by portfolio and price; you run the scope and the review.

A business plan consultant or specialist firm like ours fits when a lender, investor or visa officer will test the plan against a rule and you want one fixed price, a named author and a working model.

Plan software fits when you have time to write it yourself and want the structure laid out.

The plan, the model and the deck, at list prices. Business plans on this page: $1,000, $1,800 or $2,800. Financial Modeling Services: $750, $1,250 or $1,950. Pitch Deck Services: $1,950, $2,950 or $3,950. Also SBA Business Plan Writing Services and Feasibility Study Services.

Straight answer

When is a business plan the wrong thing to buy?

Buy something else if:

Your lender, SBA or USDA asked for an independent feasibility study, or you are still deciding whether to go ahead. A plan is written to persuade; a feasibility study is allowed to conclude no. SOP 50 10 8.1 says "SBA has the regulatory authority to request a feasibility study" on a 504 loan; on a USDA OneRD loan, "the Agency may require an independent feasibility study" if it cannot find a basis for repayment in the file or the project will significantly affect existing operations [3]. See SBA feasibility study requirements.

You want the document to say something your numbers will not support. We will tell you on the call, before you pay. No one can honestly promise a loan, a visa or a raise; we do not.

The budget is not there yet. Take the free template, model and lender checklist, write version one yourself, and come back when a deadline is attached.

FAQ

Questions founders ask.

How long does a business plan take?

Business Plan Firm delivers a first draft in 7 to 10 days on Essential and Standard, with a priority 5-day turnaround on Premium. Work begins when the agreed deposit or full fee is received, and timelines assume you supply the information we request.

How much does a business plan writing service cost?

Business plan writing services from Business Plan Firm cost $1,000 (Essential), $1,800 (Standard) or $2,800 (Premium), fixed on your free 30-minute call before work starts. We never charge a percentage of anything you borrow, invest or raise. Standalone financial models start at $750.

What does an investor-ready business plan include?

An investor-ready business plan from Business Plan Firm carries a market case with cited sources, a use of funds that reconciles to the ask, a model with its assumptions written down, and the team. Premium adds a matching investor pitch deck.

Do investors require a business plan?

Not by that name under Regulation D. Rule 502(b)(1) requires no specified information for sales only to accredited investors, but one non-accredited purchaser in a Rule 506(b) round obliges the issuer to furnish Rule 502(b)(2) information, including financial statements, a reasonable time before the sale. A Regulation Crowdfunding offering statement must describe the issuer's business and anticipated business plan (17 CFR 227.201(d)).

Does the SBA require a business plan?

SBA's regulation, 13 CFR 120.191, lists a business plan, when applicable, in a loan application. SOP 50 10 8.1 has an applicant submit an export business plan for certain International Trade loans. Your lender may still ask. Details: does the SBA require a business plan?

Is the plan written by AI?

No. Every Business Plan Firm plan is written by senior consultants and led and signed off by founder Muhammad Tayyab Shabbir; it is never AI-generated or outsourced. Your operating assumptions, such as the rent you were quoted, come from you.

How many revisions do I get?

Essential includes one revision round; Standard and Premium include unlimited revisions within the agreed scope, meaning the business we agreed to write about on the call. A second location or a different revenue model is a different plan, requoted openly.

Will a business plan get my SBA loan approved?

No one can honestly promise that, and Business Plan Firm does not. Under SOP 50 10 8.1, a Standard 7(a) lender's credit memorandum must address your ability to repay from the cash flow of the business. The plan supports that credit decision; your lender makes it, and on a non-delegated loan SBA makes the final determination.

Do I need a business plan or a feasibility study?

A business plan persuades someone to fund a decision already made; a feasibility study tests whether the project works and may conclude no. SBA can request a study on a 504 loan; USDA may require an independent one on a OneRD loan if it cannot find a basis for repayment or the project will significantly affect existing operations.

Do you write business plans for E-2 or EB-5 visa applications?

Yes, as a separate product: immigration business plans start at $1,900 for E-2 and L-1 and $2,400 for EB-5. 8 CFR 204.6 asks a standalone EB-5 investor without ten qualifying hires, and a troubled-business petition, for a comprehensive business plan; for E-2 and L-1A the plan is named in USCIS guidance. We are not immigration attorneys; work with your attorney.
